about Saint Andre Home

Peter Fitzpatrick, Executive DirectorDear Friends:

Welcome to Saint Andre Home. I invite you to browse through our site to see what St. Andre Home has to offer and to decide if we can give you the help you need.

Finding the right organization can be difficult, especially when they all seem the same. In making your choice, I would suggest you select the organization whose values and mission seem right to you. I believe the best way of doing this is to meet the staff and to try to get an appreciation of their approach to helping those who come to them. We have an exceptional staff who combine their knowledge and experience with a deep commitment to helping people.

Among our staff are skilled directors and coordinators; Amy Morin coordinates our Outreach Program, Jane Vachon is our Director of Program Services, and Debbra Woods manages our Adoption Program. Please take the time to read about these dedicated people and the programs they manage.

There are also opportunities to get involved in St. Andre Home. Please refer to the Support page for more details.

I would also like to thank all of you who have helped and supported Saint Andre's through the years. We are very grateful for all your prayers and gifts. And I would especially like to take this opportunity to thank our Board of Directors and those who have served on our Board in the past, and the Good Shepherd Sisters of Quebec who have sponsored, supported, and encouraged us since our founding in 1940.

I hope you find this site helpful and informative. I encourage you to contact us with comments or inquiries. Thank you for visiting our website and we look forward to meeting you. Be well.

Peter Fitzpatrick
Executive Director

Good Shepherd Sister with newbornThe charitable work of Saint Andre Home was started on Easter Sunday, 1940, by the Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, also known as the Good Shepherd Sisters of Quebec.

Since then, Saint Andre Home has served thousands of families through counseling, housing, parenting classes, health care and resource management, and domestic and international adoption services.

Today, by offering their leadership and support, the Good Shepherd Sisters continue their strong commitment to this highly regarded apostolate, thus keeping the mission of Saint Andre Home alive throughout the state of Maine.

Through careful management of the funds received, we continue to serve young mothers, babies, and families in Maine.

Saint Andre Home Mission Statement
