Sister Theresa at the reception for the Angel of Adoption Award2000:

Staff Appreciation Day held in Lewiston in conjunction with the 60th Anniversary of Saint Andre Home.

Sister Theresa Therrien selected by members of U.S. Congress as “Angel of Adoption” for the state of Maine, with gala event in Washington, DC.

Dr. Foltz receives Immaculate Conception Award from Diocese.

 

2001:

Bishop Joseph Gerry donates and blesses the home to be used for Mary's Place group home.Change in program for Lewiston Group Home from troubled teens to parenting mothers with more than one child.

 

2003:

Bangor Group Home moves to 1200 Ohio Street, officially blessed by Bishop Joseph Gerry.

 

2004:

Dr. Foltz giving his acceptance speech for Adoption Hall of Fame Award.Dr. Foltz nominated for induction into Adoption Hall of Fame with a gala event held at the Russian Embassy in Washington, DC.

Mary’s Place in Lewiston visited by First Lady Laura Bush and Senator Olympia Snowe.

Dr. Gregory Foltz is recipient of “Life Achievement Award”.

Russian Embassy honors Dr. Gregory Foltz and others for charitable works and significant contribution to Russian school for hearing impaired children.

Dr. Foltz passes from this life on Dec. 29, 2004

 

2005:

Peter Fitzpatrick accepts posthumous award for his predecessor.Peter Fitzpatrick is selected as Executive Director of Saint Andre Home.

Senator Susan Collins nominated Dr Foltz for “Angel of Adoption” award for State of Maine. Peter Fitzpatrick accepts the award posthumously for him in Washington, DC.

The Legislature of the State of Maine issues a Memorium honoring Dr Foltz with a lasting tribute.
