At times, financial matters can magnify a situation. Simple things like housing, food, medical, and clothing can turn our world sideways if all of our energy is spent chasing after them. It’s important to know that there are resources and programs that exist for us. These resources are designed to help us get what we need so we can concentrate more of our energy on getting back on track.
Managing our time and resources is the key to success. With resource management, the Outreach Worker helps mothers get connected with critical services and manage their resources to help them provide for their own basic needs as well as their child's.
Areas addressed in resource management include:
- Housing,
- Financial supports,
- Employment,
- Transportation,
- Vocational training,
- Food,
- Medical and dental care,
- Clothing,
- Daycare, and
- Other parenting/child related needs.
