We are grateful to the Sam L. Cohen Foundation and the City of Biddeford for generous grants to help begin renovations to the downstairs common spaces at Esther Residence.

In the fall of 2025, Saint Andre Home assumed stewardship of Esther Residence, honoring a long shared history of service rooted in compassion, dignity, and care.

All are welcome to join us for a Founders' Celebration to honor the life’s work of Esther Residence founders: Sister Joanne Roy, Sister Simonne Janelle, and Sister Lucille Gardner.
